The big benefit of having Lawn Rite install instant turf, AKA rolls of ready lawn is the speed, At the end of the job which is usually 1 to 3 days from start to finish your lawn is ready to use and all you have to do is ensure its given a constant watering until the roots has established. Usually this only takes around 3 to 5 weeks depending on the time of the year.
Benefits of Hydroseeding
The main benefit of hydroseeding is usually the outcome of the job, Over the years we have found that hydroseeding gives the best results and a more even lawn coverage over a larger area, On larger areas it can also be cheaper to apply hydroseeding lawns over ready lawns due to the efficiency of installation.
Lawn Rite offers comprehensive lawn preparation services, starting from site scraping to soil levelling, ready for hydroseeding. We recommend using approximately 50-100mm of high-quality soil to ensure a robust root structure; anything less may result in a weaker foundation. Additionally, we can arrange for the removal of weeds, rocks, and debris as needed.
Soil should be graded, raked, and allowed to settle, ensuring it is not too compacted to promote healthy growth. The soil must have an appropriate moisture level; it should not be powder dry, but dry enough to walk on. Lawn Rite will enclose the area to be hydroseeded to prevent any disturbances, helping to ensure a healthy lawn.
Why does Lawn Rite prefer Hydroseeding?
Hydroseeding is applied under pressure through a hose onto the designated soil area, creating an optimal environment for seed germination and turf development. After application, the hydroseed forms a green mat that helps retain water and soil. This mat functions like a greenhouse, enhancing and accelerating the germination process. As the lawn grows, the mat gradually decomposes, enriching the soil.
